Physical-fine motor skills

The development of fine (small) motor skills help young children gain competence in using their fingers in ways that will aid them in doing handwriting, cutting, as well as computer skills, paper/pencil tasks of various sorts, and sewing.  These are some fun ways to get young children involved in activities that develop fine motor skills:

(NOTE:  Please be aware of the developmental stages of young children and use only activities that are safe.  If a child is still an oral learner, then avoid small objects that a child may choke on or writing utensils that may cause the child harm if eaten.)
